Came here with a bunch of good friends / family and we all enjoyed it greatly.
The tea was outrageously good. There were so many choices (I believe it had to be over 50). Kathy was very helpful in explaining any teas we were interested in and helping us to figure out which ones would meet our taste's the best.
I tried a blueberry tea, coconut tea, black raspberry and chocolate tea, cherry tea, and a champagne berry tea. They were all great, but you have to have to try the coconut tea (It is so creamy and delicious). Each tea was so good I did not use an ounce of sugar in any of them.
As for the food, also very well done. Everything was fresh and homemade including the bread. I had a perfectly dressed winter green salad, onion soup (lovely deep flavor, perfectly salted (not too much salt like most places). The whole table loved the Quince. Which was perfectly cooked and a little layer of crunch of potatoes on the bottom.
We also had finger sandwiches of course. .. I thought it was clever that there were tea house staples like cucumber sandwiches and egg salad alongside spanakopita (spinach pie and a twist on chicken salad (sweet / savory). My absolute favorite was dessert because of the almond cheesecake. It reminded me of a traditional Italian dessert I used to have as a child (out of this world!)
The atmosphere is cute with lovely historical details... it is not showy or stuffy,
just a comfortable pretty surrounding. I am personally excited that there are tea tastings there. The teas are fresh loose leaf teas and they are very reasonably priced per cup. I am looking forward to trying more.
